Share Project Plans and Documents

Without the ability to share information, you cannot truly begin collaborating with your team.

LiveProject Project Collaboration comes with dedicated space for your documents on our LiveProject Server. A subscription to LiveProject is virtually all you need to start collaborating with your team, across business units, or even with external partners.

With LiveProject you can share documents through the "Explore Server" tab. To share a document or folder, simply drag and drop it into this window. You can also use the context-menu in the explorer tab to pick individual files from your hard drive.

Once a file is stored on the server, it becomes visible to your team. While LiveProject comes with advanced user management features, for now just envision that you can select with whom you are sharing.

As you add files to the server, LiveProject will assign you as a manager of those files. This makes you responsible for updating them. Allowing others to update is supported, but generally it is recommended to have just one editor for each file, in particular for projects.

When a project is saved on the server, users can double-click on the project file to launch a viewer. All updates by the manager to the project file are automatically reflected in the viewer since LiveProject is "live".

Using LiveProject explorer, you can keep project information in the same location as the project's and at the same time allow users access to all relevant information.
